Parents Often Ask Me

Why Does My Child Behave This Way?

If you’re the parent of a child with challenging behavior, you’re probably frustrated and angry. You might also be anxious and worried for the future. I’m going to show you how fix that.

That’s what this site is all about … helping you to create a toolbox of brain-friendly strategies, so that you can manage all their challenging Behaviors, but still keep a close, loving relationship with even the most challenging child.
I know that it is not easy. Our lives are busy with work, family, friends and so many other things that need our attention. There’re just not enough hours in the day to get it all done. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Believe me – you can have it all – a relaxed, happy family life; time and energy to spare for your own work and play activities. Above all, you CAN have a child who is willing to cooperate and follow your instructions.

How do I know all this?

For many years I was in the exact same position that you now find yourself

  • I was at my wit’s end trying to manage a challenging child
  • I woke each morning with a feeling of anxiety and desperation, wondering how I was going to keep it all together to get through the coming day
  • I was exhausted, frustrated and running on empty by the time I got my three children into bed
  • Nothing I tried seemed to work – I didn’t know what else I could do, and I had no-one to turn to for help
I wish I could say that I discovered the secret to managing my challenging child’s behavior, but sadly this was not how it worked out for me. And the reason it didn’t turn out differently for me and my child, is that I didn’t do anything different. I kept doing the same thing over and over, hoping that somehow it would turn out better next time – but of course, it never did.
I ignored the fact that, as parents, we really do only have a short time to get it right.

And to be perfectly honest, I blew the main chance that I had to make a significant and positive difference in my challenging child’s life.

It’s not something I’m proud of, but it’s why I’m so determined to help other parents avoid some of the pitfalls that I fell into.

Why should YOU accept the parenting challenge?

Because you want to do more than just survive your kid’s childhood.

You want to enjoy it;

build stunning lifelong memories;

like your child as much as you love them;

to live, laugh, and build a strong and resilient family unit that lasts a lifetime.
